I am buried under a million things, the blog is way behind, but we are chugging along here.
This weekend our friends invited us to a Vikings game. I had a wedding. Imagine the look on my husband’s face when I say “I have a wedding in Bismarck”
I think I might have killed him a little.
Well, needless to say, there’s an airport in Bismarck, and low and behold, there’s one in Minneapolis too.
Me, who’s never ever sat through an entire football game in her entire life, took an airplane from my wedding, to a Vikings game. Rode the light rail sardine style with at least 9000 other Vikings fans and at least 2 Oakland fans, and one guy who told the whole car that he had beans for breakfast…
One of the funniest observations was the difference between my husband and my friend’s husband. Dwayne is loud. Really LOUD. Jumping, screaming, pointing at the field, clapping (he does these things at home too) and then there was Jason. Pensive, quiet, biting his nails. My friend shared that at home, he has a secret phone to the players because he talks to them like they can hear him. No Dwayne, he just yells so they could possibly actually hear him. Two totally different guys and two totally different ways to watching and rooting for the game.
It was an adventurous day. Life of the jet-set is not for me, but it was fun and Dwayne’s year was complete. He got a Twins game and a Vikings game. What more could the boy ask for.
Here’s a photo of Dwayne. He sat next to this HUGE (Physically and team spirited) Oakland fan. We managed to make it out alive.
