Dancing Queen

Somer is in dance. Her recital is next week. Let me tell you, Sarah, her dance instructor must be sent from Heaven. That woman has more patience than anyone I have ever seen. The kids just love her! Somer has had a wonderful year of dance, and I can’t wait to see the recital. Somer had a little practice this morning at a local nursing home. It was fun to see her dance without the crowd at the recital, and it was fun to witness the chaos of 50+ little girls - and that’s only 4 out of like 20-some classes at the studio. Like I said… lots of patience. It was so fun! Somer just loves her outfit.

Somer of course, hamming for the camera.

And some behind the scenes ruffles. They are adorable!

Fire

A scene recently in Fort Pierre. Freaked out the kids, but was fun to watch. Nothing was damaged or hurt, as it was a controled burn. We happened to be driving by, and, big surprise, I had my camera.

I love great husbands.

As a rule, unless it’a a funeral or a wedding, I generally don’t tell Dwayne what to wear. I think he’s pretty cute anyway, so I just let him pick. That doesn’t mean I don’t buy him things to influence his choices…

So, we’ve been on a mini-vacation, and we went shopping of course. He wandered off unescorted in the department store, and found me later, dumped some clothes on the counter and we went back to the hotel. So, this morning he gets up and puts on a new shirt.

This is his new shirt.

I Love Hot Moms

He “bought this one for me”. Got to love the guy, quirks and all.

Ashley and Aaron’s book

Guestbook for their June 3rd wedding.

Easter fun.

I look forward to dying eggs each year. It’s such a fun family tradition.

Graduation Announcements

Graduation is upon us. Here is my last, and favorite announcement of the year.

These were a 5×8 photocard on Metallic Paper. They will be gorgeous!

Jonathon’s Show

Because of several requests and comments about Jonathon’s show, here is the show played at his funeral.

**warning**

Jonathon was passed on in these photos, but I feel I gave the utmost respect in preparing this for his family.

I got this email yesterday from my October 8th bride Paige…. If this doesn’t make your day, nothing will. So, if you didn’t get an album, or you’ve been proscratinating on making your album selections… read on…

Hey-
WOW!! I have been meaning to email you for the longest time!! I was so excited to get the album - it turned out absolutely amazing! I have been showing everyone and no one has ever seen anything like it. People here at work are just raving about it! The president of our wedding marketing even asked me to give her your information. She may contact you to ask you questions about photography for our new website.
So, thank you, thank you, thank you!!

See you later,

Paige

On life and books and stuff….

I am sorry for not keeping up the blog too much lately. I’m getting some emails wondering about me. From my last post you may be able to see that life has just taken over a bit. I have designed what seems like 1000 albums and guestbooks this month, a couple wedding invitations, some graduation announcements and trying to organize my office and unpack the lives of 5 people into a new house, not to mention the sadder things like lost little babies. It’s been a heck of a month!

One of the highlights has been the new designer books. I finally got my first order in and I have to say they are fantastic. Here’s some photos of Karae’s Senior Book. I’ll have a wedding and a baby one in soon and I’ll post pics then. All of my guestbooks are now these, and any of the kids or senior books will be these. A few of my wedding packages include these, but most have been upgraded to the GraphiStudio’s I posted about a couple months ago.

Anyway, without futher ado…
