The Bechtold’s

Wow!

One of my most proudest accomplishments is my membership in the WPJA, or Wedding Photojournalist Association. Really. The photographers who make up the group are amazing, and to be a member is very humbling, exciting, and inspirational all at once.

I am excited to announce I have placed in two catagories for this fall’s contest. I received 2nd place in the Engagement Portraits catagory, and 7th in the Ceremony catagory.

If you’d like to see the rest of the winners, and view the amazing photography, visit www.wpja.com. You can find my past winning images in the Winter 2004 contest.

Traditions

Our family has a tradition of going bowling every Thanksgiving evening. Here are a few highlights.

Somer: Ninja bowler.

Kenedi, bowler extraordinaire.

Dwayne, “Show us how it’s done” Anderson

And Jake, who is NOT related to any of us, but manages to be present at every family event. Oh well, he kind of grows on you.

Look Mom… A Pilgrim!

Last night we braved Wal-mart to fetch our Thanksgiving fixings. (Nothing like proscrastination, huh?)

A man was walking into Walmart ahead of us wearing a black leather hat. Somer is never at a loss for words and excitedly screamed, “Look Mom a Pilgrim!” Normally I wouldn’t have thought much of the man’s hat, but truthfully, after Somer pointed it out, I would have to agree, I was pretty pilgrim’esque. We laughed all the way into the store and then some.

So, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, including the guy in the hat who was unknowingly will become a Thanksgiving story for years to come.

Kenedi

I have posted quite a few pictures of Somer and Pryce, makes me feel kind of bad that Kenedi doesn’t get the same show. She hates the camera nearly as much as I do and it can be quite challenging to get a photos of her, even on the sly. I think she is so beautiful…

Kyanne and some other people.

:)
If these guys look familiar, that’s because you’ll find Karae in my Senior gallery - - She’s very photogenic, and Kellie and Ryan were a wedding couple this past May. Kyle was visiting and they all got together for a family session. Kyanne ran the show though!
